New York City

This gallery features four spectacular recent additions to New York City: the 100 story One World Trade Center building, constructed on the site of the North Tower of the World Trade Center complex destroyed in the 9/11 attack; the Oculus, a combination transportation center, shopping center and tourist attraction near the World Trade Center site; the High Line, a pedestrian path built on an elevated former rail line running 1.45 miles from 34th Street south to the Whitney Museum of American Art near 12th Street; and The Vessel, a sixteen story public art installation built on the grounds of Hudson Yards, a large commercial real estate project at 40th Street and the Westside Highway. The gallery concludes with some New York scenes I photographed during a trip several years earlier.
