Praise at Dawn

“Lord, who has praise enough?”

George Herbert,The Temple (1633)

During our stay at the Black Swan Inn on Lake Rotorua in New Zealand, I rose early every morning to greet the sun as it rose over the lake. Each sunrise was different, a gift, beautiful and magnificent in its own way. At such a place and time one’s spirit awakens with the light of the unfolding dawn, and the Sacred is intimately near.
