Oregon
Shirley and I have had the pleasure of spending several weeks in western Oregon. Portland is a thriving city with about two million people in its metropolitan area. To the east are the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood. About seventy miles to the west is the Pacific coast, with Cannon Beach and it’s spectacular haystack rocks in the surf.
